Flood.
On Thursday, August 27 the school flooded. It was really hectic. I was in math class and all the younger kids started coming into the high school freaking out. They released all the buses early. Luckily I was at my moms that day so I didn’t ride the bus. We got out of school early. They were asking for volunteers to help sandbag so Sam, Josie, Haley, Lexi, and I went to go get them. I walked through waist-high waters for no reason because when I got there there were already a group of guys helping. We got a ride back in this guys truck. We got back to the school and no one needed our help. Lexi’s dad drove us around and then he ended up taking us home.
Yep, that was certainly a crazy second day of school. I am usually pretty nonchalant when it comes to events like that. Only because I believe that everything will be okay in the end. Thank goodness the school looks normal and there wasn't too much damage!
